The Thailand Pavilion is continuing its reign as one of the most popular and beautiful World Expo pavilions. The organisers behind the state-of-the-art representation at Expo 2020 Dubai are delighted to announce that since it opened on Friday, October 1, it has already welcomed more than 100k visitors. Reaching this landmark milestone on Saturday, October 15, the lucky 100,000th visitor was 25-year-old Luca Van Erk from the Netherlands. In a happy twist of fate, the Thailand team were also delighted to learn that Luca was born in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand.

Drawn by the uplifting and enlightening programme of daily performances, fun games, special events and fabulous food, everyday thousands of families and friends from across the globe continue to flock to the Thailand Pavilion to experience its awe-inspiring cultural displays. The Thailand Pavilion team want to thank each and every one of their guests for their heartfelt support and participation.

Located in the Mobility District on a plot of more than 3,600 sqm, Thailand is presenting its most impressive pavilion in 150 years at Expo 2020 Dubai until 31 March 2022. The dynamic space takes visitors through the story of ‘Digital Thailand’, the nation’s technologically driven, economic vision. In addition to connecting Thailand to the rest of the world, the Pavilion aims to showcase the full wonder of authentic Thai culture. Filled with colour, impressive decor and charm, the ‘Miracle of Smiles’ pavilion has already charmed and enraptured over 100k people with its cultural exploration of the true essence of Thailand.

One of the key attractions of the Thailand Pavilion is its mesmerising programme of live performances. As one of the few representations to offer daily dance and music shows, visitors to the pavilion are invited to lift their spirits by enjoying daily performances from the exceptionally talented Smile Band. Playing upbeat and catchy tunes throughout the six-month duration of the ground-breaking global gathering, each evening will also feature a mesmerising Façade Show, which sees the flower-adorned shell of the pavilion become illuminated in a gorgeous display of colours.

Meanwhile, the daily Thai Iconic shows fuse together the past and present customs of Thailand in spectacular fashion. Thai Fighting celebrates the amazing power of Muay Thai boxing, Thai Rhythm explores the beauty of art, music and dance, and Thai Miracle invites spectators to witness a majestic, “Khon” moving royal dance that’s now listed by UNESCO World Heritage. The pavilion’s multi-talented ambassadors help ensure that each visitor gains maximum enjoyment from their time in the magical space, while the mischievous mascots, Rak and Mali, also help to spread love and joy throughout the Expo site.

In addition, the Thailand Pavilion features many wonderful opportunities for business professionals.  An inspiring environment for discussion and collaboration, industry leaders and visiting dignitaries are invited to use the space to forge new connections, exchange ideas and debate how we can achieve a more sustainable future.

Meanwhile, the exciting schedule of immersive performances and special events is another key element of the pavilion’s enrapturing offering. Specifically chosen to showcase Thailand’s unique identity including its fascinating traditions, world-renowned cuisine, enrapturing art and its fabulous innovations, the line-up of themed weeks and special days provides plenty to delight families and friends of ages.
