Dr.Kate Prozeller joined Thrive Wellbeing Centre in late December as a licensed psychologist, and specialist in maternal mental health as well as life transitions, grief and loss, and abuse.

Dr. Kate is a perfect addition to Thrive’s team as we are in all a transitional period right now, entering 2021, hoping to leave 2020 behind, but invariably carrying its baggage.

According to a report by the UN, global domestic abuse is thought to have risen by 20% due to COVID-19, but abuse aside, 2020 challenged life’s milestones for many; weddings, childbirth, heading off to university – these are exciting stages in our lives, but last year rendered them disrupted and disappointing.

“Whatever we imagined these exciting life stages to look like, they probably let us down in 2020, which creates disappointment and often deeper issues.  We are so pleased to have Dr. Kate in our team and her specialisms are very timely to equip us for these challenging times”, said Dr. Sarah Rasmi, founder and managing director of Thrive Wellbeing Centre.

Kate, herself became a mother during lockdown and so personally experienced the restrictions that COVID-19 placed on this very special time and new stage of life. Passionate about maternal mental health, she specializes in grief and loss in this area too, such as miscarriage.
