Celebrating the spirit of Ramadan, Sharjah’s first English language radio station, Pulse 95 Radio, has unveiled a series of new educational and informative content, aimed at educating its listeners about this holy month.

The adapted program grid includes its regular shows with an inclusion of different topics related to the teachings of Islam and Ramadan rituals. The on-air features, ‘Ramadan talk’, offers inspiring talks, and draws attention to the values of tolerance and respect which are the foundations of Islam.

‘Culinary Delights in Ramadan’, is a feature played across the day where listeners can learn about unique dishes that are prepared during Ramadan around the world. ‘The Joy of Ramadan’, provides expats informative content about general topics of when and why is Ramadan celebrated? What is Niyyah and Zakat? Is it healthy too fast for long hours and so on.

Saif Al Shalal, Station Director of Pulse 95 Radio, said: “Our line-up of tailor-made Ramadan features are celebrating the holy month and are designed specifically for audiences looking to understand and embrace the community spirit during this important time of year, reflecting the vision of Sharjah Broadcasting Authority”.

The light talk-radio station has also altered the timings of its regular shows adapting to the time changes during Ramadan. ‘Morning Majlis’, presented by Abdul Karim Hanif , Anna Roberts and Ahmad Dawud, is aired from 8-10am; ‘LifeBeats’ by Sally Mousa is aired 10am-12pm. ‘Future Talk’  by Omar Al Busaidy and Omnia Al Saleh, the show discussing the latest on gadgets, technology and science is broadcasted between 2-3 pm. Big Hass and Ana Schofield are on air on ‘Yalla Home’, a drive time show from 3-5 pm. ‘Afteroon Karak’ has been modified and relaunched as  ‘Evening Karak’, co-hosted by Aisha Al Mazmi and Mikail Attiyeh between 9-10pm. The evening show will cover pop-culture stories and Ramadan themed segments.
