As Expo 2020 prepared to open its doors to the world, and keeping in step with the revival of Dubai, the Capital Club recorded the highest number of new memberships in September 2021. There has been a 25% increase in new members compared to 2019, with more corporate memberships benefiting from the Club’s revamped facilities and business experiences.
Located in the heart of the city’s financial centre, the increased interest from the business community to join the Club reflected the economic resurgence and confidence that we are truly past the restrictions and limitations caused by the pandemic.
One of our new members, Somia Khawaja, Senior Executive Director, Falcon Global Capital, said, “We need physical energy, mental clarity, and emotional balance to tackle all that life throws at us. Self-care, engaging in intelligent conversations, and sharing words of wisdom are some of the fulfilling aspects I am able to find at the Capital Club. I have been a member for three months and already feel part of one big family. All my team members have also joined the Club and are already enjoying some of the benefits of being a member, such golf and access to five-star beach clubs. There are many factors about Capital Club that add great value to my personal and professional life, I am glad I joined.”
Our members, who are business leaders from diverse sectors, have their finger on the pulse of Dubai and there is an increased participation in the multistakeholder roundtable discussions on relevant and important topics such as sustainability, digital economy, gender balance, mobility, startup ecosystem, talent retention, data privacy, AI ethics, cryptocurrencies, NFTs, creative economy and much more.
