Months of waiting will soon be over for Dubai’s gourmands as the classic British beachfront restaurant Retro Feasts is set to relaunch this month with a brand-new look and menu. The revamped interior pays homage to British pop culture, while the menu brings back the best of the ’70s,’ 80s and ’90s, taking Dubai’s foodies on a nostalgic trip down memory lane.

Retro Feasts is the brainchild of the acclaimed Luke Thomas, who became the world’s youngest head chef at the tender age of 18. He first launched the restaurant at The Beach in 2015, when he was only 21, with the aim of reviving the old- school dining experience through serving British favorites and comfort food. Luke put his well-honed culinary skills to work on the original menu that added a unique twist to the recipes he cooked as a child with his grandmother.

The updated offering will feature fresh and exciting food while evoking childhood memories. In addition to the signature dish – Coronation chicken in a bun, highlights will include the classic fish ‘n’ chips, the fish finger sandwich, the Retro Dirty Burger, the original New York hot dog, mac ‘n’ cheese, nachos, the corn dog and skin-on fries. The eatery will also serve a special kids’ combo menu.

Early birds will be spoiled for choice with the Big British Breakfast, waffle cup, smoothie bowl, and peanut butter and jelly French toast. The drinks menu will offer classic thick shakes in different flavors, a juice bar, hot and cold coffee, and retro coolers.
