Lazio, the region of the Italian capital city, presents its own food-supply chain with a series of important events, among which the dinner offered by a great Michelin-starred chef.

The food and wine excellencies of Lazio arrive to Expo Dubai 2020 in occasion of the Week of Italian cuisine in the world. The region of the “Eternal City” brings to the Emirates its food supply chain, to offer local businesses the opportunity to enter or consolidate on foreign markets and present to the world the best of its agro-industrial sector. The key event will be the agri-food industry Forum, planned for the 25th of November. The event, dedicated to technology and sustainability, will have, among its speakers, Carlo Hausmann, director-general of Agro Camera, the chefs Antonello Colonna e Alessandro Miceli, besides buyers, sector leaders in Gulf countries, and representatives of the Twelfth edition of “Italian Cuisine World Summit”.

During the day, Bracciano’s hub for innovative projects in the field of enterprising and start-up in the agri-food supply chain will be presented. Videos and the special insert“Best in Lazio”, dedicated to the excellencies of the territory in collaboration with Gambero Rosso, will also be shown. The day will be concluded with a promotion-dinner for the territory and the quality production of Lazio, cooked by the starred chef Antonello Colonna.

Lazio’s agri-food sector has around 50 thousand enterprises and 70 thousand workers. The export of the sector has registered, in 2020, a value exceeding 1 billion of euros, 65.5 million more compared to 2018. Lazio ranks fifth among the most representative Italian regions for typical production, with 29 food products e 36 wines which has obtained the acknowledgment of European Union origin mark.
