The six historical plates whose revenue will be allocated to charitable activities are as follows:

(Z1918): This number has a symbolic reference to the birth year of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. It also represents the birth of a nation that roll on the legacy of the founding leader who pledged to build a modern country by relying on patriotic citizens; a country that cares for the good of the entire world. The date has since been an icon for the children of Zayed to take on this drive further.

(Z1946): It refers to the year Sheikh Zayed took the reins of power at Al Ain city. It is the city that had suffered a scarcity of water, but he had turned it into with his vision to an oasis and a modern city.

(Z1968) and (Z68): They bear reference to Al Sameeh meeting, the date of the first meeting between the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum to unify the emirates on the Gulf coast and establish a powerful state. They were dreaming then of a hard to achieve a goal, but it had turned into a reality called United Arb Emirates; which is celebrating its 47th National Day this year.

(Z1971): It symbolises the year of establishing the federation and hoisting the UAE flag. It had been a historic day for people of the region who share a common history and culture under the umbrella of the Federation. The UAE had set a successful unionist model reflecting the solid will and determination of its people to write a new history of the region.

(Z2018): It resembles the Centenary of Zayed, i.e. the Year of Zayed in which we now celebrate the glory and achievements of Sheikh Zayed. It offers a time to reflect on the generous hands of the leader not only in the UAE and the region but the world over. Fittingly, the UAE has been named the world’s largest donor of development assistance for the fifth year in row.
