RTA Honours Female Leaders In Celebration Of Emirati Women’s Day
The Women Committee of Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has held a host of events marking the Emirati Women’s Day launched by Her Highness Shaikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation.
The Day is celebrated on August 28 to commemorate the establishment of the General Women’s Union in 1975, and this year’s event is themed ‘Women on the Course of Zayed.’
Moaza Al Marri, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communication and the Chairperson of Women Committee at RTA, said, “It is great that our celebrations of the Emirati Women’s Day this year themed ‘Women on the Course of Zayed’ are held in conjunction with the Year of Zayed initiative.
“RTA views female employees as essential and vital contributes to the achievement of RTA’s strategic objectives. Emirati women are living their golden age as they are privileged by the unlimited support of our leaders who spared no effort in empowering and assisting them to take the highest positions at all levels. They have become key partners of the modern urbanization of the UAE.
“To mark the event, several pioneer female employees of RTA have been felicitated for their innovative efforts in steering RTA’s strategic drive. A discussion panel was held hosting one of RTA’s female leaders to shed light on her professional career.
“RTA is always keen on enriching and empowering female staffs to make them more confident in their abilities. It offers them exposure to innovative programs to nurture a work environment that adds to their happiness and career path in RTA,” concluded Al Marri.
