Organisers today revealed the all-new, innovative Ciovita cycling range for the upcoming 2022 Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge, in partnership with Dubai Sports Council, set to take place on 18th February 2022.

The Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge, in its 12th year officially announced its partnerships on Monday with the Italian-inspired apparel brand alongside international bicycle and sports eyewear brands, Giant and Oakley for the upcoming main race in less than two months’ time.

As an official partner for the 2022 competition, Ciovita’s precision engineered, performance-driven kit line is set to debut online on13 December, and athletes can now get their hands on the latest apparel to take on the 92km course in February.

The stylish kit range will see the new-for-2022 competition cycling top, as well as Casquette hats, Sunsleeves and Trucker Caps embroidered with the year’s new logos in the emerald green and sleek black design.

Participants must pre-order their new cycling merchandise by visiting www.cyclechallenge.ae and will be ready to collect at the Race Pack Collection point at the main event Expo a few days before the event on 18th February.

On the launch of the new kit for 2022, Stewart Howison, Race Director, said: “We were delighted to partner with Ciovita in designing the all-new cycling kit for the 2022 Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge, and it is great to see the new range for the upcoming competition officially revealed today.”

The 2022 competition will also see Giant, the world’s leading bicycle brand continue being the official bicycle partner for the Spinneys Dubai 92 Challenge to aid cyclists in their efforts to tackle the 92km course in February. In addition, Oakley, the international pioneer for sports and lifestyle eyewear will serve as the challenge’s official eyewear partner, to ensure competitors have optimal vision with no visual issues on race day.

In addition, organisers have also announced its new ‘Learn to Ride’ Programme, providing the perfect preparation for those participating in the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge short course event.

Aimed at participants aged 13 and above, the 90-minute cycling clinic sessions will be delivered by experts in a safe and traffic-free environment and focus on key elements including bicycle and equipment options, safety and the fundamentals of riding in a group on the road.

This programme, which is free to enter, will be held during the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge Build-Up Ride 4 at Dubai’s Al Qudra Cycling Track on Saturday 22 January. Abu Dhabi’s Al Hudayriyat Island will also host a clinic with a date to be announced shortly.

Held in partnership with Spinneys, Dubai 92 and Dubai Sports Council, the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge is one of the Middle East’s premium sporting races, regularly attracting thousands of riders from all over the world.

The organisers will ensure that the necessary precautions are in place at all Build-Up Rides and the main event to ensure public wellness and a COVID-19 safe environment. More details will be shared individually with each participant closer to the events.

Those eager to take part in the 2022 Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge can sign up to join the upcoming Build-Up Ride on 18th December 2021, with time remaining before registrations close on Wednesday 15th December.
