Spots Perfect for Working on the Move
Working on the move, in a country you might not be familiar with if visiting for business, can be challenging and costly. And whether you need a quiet spot to get some work done in between meetings or are meeting up with a colleague over coffee, it’s always handy to have access to a reliable, free or cost-effective Wi-Fi connection. We know the perfect spot can be hard to find, so we’ve found three cafés who each have the environments and amenities for you to get on with your work:
The Living Room Café
This Gem, tucked behind Khalidiyah Mall, is filled with cosy tables and oversized couches. With a handful of people normally there to work, all you have to do is ask the staff for their Wi-Fi password (it’s consistently strong and there is no time limit – bonus!), order a cup of delicious coffee and get to work. The space is small, but there is enough space to set up all of your gear without feeling too cramped.
Café Arabia
This joint is calm, classy, light and open, and is a top spot for coffee lovers who enjoy the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. There is a choice of workspaces, including small café tables, large couches or wooden restaurant tables, most which are near power points. They have an extensive menu filled with delicious coffees, teas and meals that will keep you watered and full while you work. As for an internet connection, you should be able to connect immediately without any problems. If you need some help, ask one of the friendly staff members to give you a hand.
Starbucks
Good ol’ Starbucks never disappoints. With an array of different coffees, teas and lunch options, you’ll definitely enjoy a cup or two while typing away on your laptop. Known around the world for their free Wi-Fi access (and good coffee, of course) you’ll get great strength access that won’t let you down. You can find a Starbucks at Abu Dhabi Mall.
If the coffee shops get too much, too noisy or too crowded, rent an office space in Abu Dhabi or co-working space instead.
