The Spanish group Meliá Hotels International launched a four-star superior Innside hotel in downtown Aachen on May 2nd. A stone’s throw from the Couven Museum, Aachen Cathedral and the famous city park, a new urban lifestyle hotel with 158 rooms had been erected. Following the unique design concept of the Innside by Meliá premium brand, the stylish residence that targets business and individual travellers combines fancy architecture perfectly integrated into the cityscape with modern interior design. On six floors, the new Innside Aachen displays an elegant purist ambience. With their modern furnishings, the bright rooms come with a classy wood look and monochrome floors, which develop into real eye catchers thanks to effective indirect lighting. True to its name, the exclusive Uptown Sky Lounge & Restaurant with its large panorama windows and an exquisite roof terrace on the sixth floor will be the overall highlight. Here, purism and avant-garde amalgamate: bold lines and curved forms, austere black and white with a striking purple tone. “Uptown” provides an elegant lounge, a bar, and both a breakfast and à-la-carte restaurant in one. This trendy location is to establish new standards with respect to design, cuisine and classic bar culture booasting an international fusion cuisine and innovative bar food concepts. Various DJ events on weekends, live performances, lounge nights, tastings, afternoon tea or Sunday brunches on the fantastic roof terrace are meant to attract both international hotel guests and particularly Aachen’s cosmopolitans and night owls. The hotel runs under the experienced management of Christine Klein (32). Born in the Münsterland region, the graduate foreign language correspondence clerk has been active in various different positions and hotels of the Spanish Meliá Hotels International chain since 2003. Before being appointed general manager of Innside Aachen, she headed Innside Frankfurt Niederrad as well as TRYP Düsseldorf Airport and was vice general manager of Innside Neue Messe München. She lives Spanish hospitality and is a passionate host. The opening rate for a single room starts at 99 euros compared to the standard rate of 129 euros (both including breakfast).
