Starting on August 14th, Tashkeel will transform into a day camp as young artists are welcomed into the studios. Tashkeel is gearing up for its summer camp that includes two weeks of half-day programming for children and teenagers aged 8-16.

The first week will run from August 14-18 and the second from August 21-25, with workshops running each day from 10am-1pm.  Making the workshops accessible to all, participants can sign up for one or two weeks, or per workshop.

Week one includes workshops focused on Painting, Drawing, Tie dye, Pinhole photography and Large paper sculptures. In the Pin hole photography workshop, students will learn how an analogue camera works by building a pinhole camera from start to finish and also have the opportunity to work in a dark room to develop their photos. The second week offers workshops titled Mono-types with Gelli plates, Screen Printing, Collage, Casting and Sculpture, and Dry point etching. Participants in the Screen Printing workshop will be guided to create individual art works that will be printed on tote bags, paper and t-shirts.
