Calling on all young art enthusiasts attending SISD, the 5-star family-friendly Swissôtel Al Ghurair challenged grade 8 students to an Art Competition that will see 10 finalist student’s art displayed across Swissôtel Al Ghurair and 3 students will also have the chance to win exciting prizes with the top prize taking on lucky student on a holiday to Bern, Switzerland.

Focusing on the theme of their favorite cartoon character and dreaming of travel with SWISS to Switzerland the students are tasked with letting their creativity flow to showcase their best takes on beloved pop culture cartoons such as Sponge Bob SquarePants, Peppa Pig or even their favorite Marvel superhero and giving them a touch of Swissness. Keeping its Swiss routes in the forefront and with craftsmanship as a key brand pillar of Swissôtel, the 5-star hotel hopes to show their support towards the younger generation by providing avenues to embrace the Swiss culture and let their imagination thrive with the fun competition. The contest will shortlist 20 pieces that will be judged by an elite team of five judges hailing from the Swiss Business Council, SWISS, SISD and Swissôtel Al Ghurair’s very own General Manager, Dominic Arel.

The competition doesn’t end there! By entering this contest, not only will there will be a chance for the student’s art to be displayed at Swissôtel Al Ghurair’s, but also the chance to win any of the three grand prizes. The first prize is a round trip to Zurich sponsored by SWISS, that is currently offering 4 weekly flights from Dubai to Zurich and beyond, and a two-night stay at thenewly opened Swissôtel Kursaal Bern located in the heart of Bern, boasting picturesque views of the Alps and the historical old city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a five-minute walk from the hotel. The second prize is an all-day access to Dubai Parks and Resorts for a family of four and third prize an overnight staycation experience in a family suite at Swissôtel Al Ghurair with access to Laguna Waterpark for four people.

The art pieces will form part of a fabulous treasure hunt awaiting the children staying in the hotel to find the paintings along with a plethora of kids activities from Zumba to arts & crafts and more, there is no doubt that Swissôtel Al Ghurair will soon be your little one’s favourite hotel in the city!
