talabat Officially Launches Its Two-Storey, 1,900 Square Meter ‘talabat Kitchen’ At Expo 2020
talabat, the region’s leading online food and q-commerce delivery platform and the Official Food Delivery Provider for Expo 2020, celebrated the completion of its innovative, state-of-the-art ‘talabat Kitchen’ in a ribbon cutting ceremony at Expo 2020 today.
Located adjacent to Jubilee Park in the Sustainability District, the ‘talabat kitchen’ was officially launched by Ammar Albarzanji, Senior Vice President, Treasury and Commercial at Expo 2020, along with Onur Elgun, Vice President of Strategy MENA at talabat. The first order was placed at the ‘talabat Kitchen’ following the ribbon cutting, as well as the first coffee served by the robot barista to the attendees.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by representatives from talabat, Expo 2020, in addition to talabat restaurant and technology partners including Kitopi, GrubTech, Terminus and DG World.
Additionally, talabat revealed the technologies deployed in its kitchen and the different modes of delivery that were introduced for the first time in Expo 2020, as the brand prepares to serve millions of visitors – from autonomous delivery robots, to e-scooters and smart food and grocery lockers.
Expo 2020 visitors will be able to order coffee and ice cream from robot baristas and ice cream confectioners, specialised items from talabat Mart at the venue and food from over 30 different loved restaurants operating in the talabat Kitchen at Expo 2020 such as Pinza, Kababji Grill , Tortilla, Aseer Time, Alien Burger, Sushi Art, Freez, Poke & Co, Chick’n Co and Man’oushe Street.
