The Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge 10th Anniversary – powered by SKODA officially launched this morning with the first of three Build-Up Rides. Over 450 cyclists took part in the 45km challenge at Al Qudra Cycle track as they prepare for the 100km Cycle Challenge on Friday, 29 November at the Dubai Autodrome.

Morne Fourie, GM Marketing Spinneys: “The 10th anniversary of our Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge is a great milestone for us. The race has grown from strength to strength over the years, attracting a multitude of different cyclists. From serious cyclists, those just starting out and even the little ones, it is truly a great day out for the whole family. The Build-Up rides are a great opportunity for a warm up before the big day, and will give those with a few nerves all the confidence they need.”

Following the ride, cyclists and spectators enjoyed the Race Village which had plenty of special activities to celebrate its tenth year. A delicious breakfast menu from Spinneys Dubai was on offer to ensure the cyclists were well-fueled following 45km on the bike. SKODA provided cold sports drinks to all riders and spectators in the Spinneys Village for everyone to enjoy.

Revolution Cycles Dubai was on hand once again to provide support for the new cyclists with their valuable insight and even riding alongside those who needed some encouragement.

Jakub Sulc, SKODA PR & Marketing Manager for Middle East: “It is great having the opportunity to power up such a successful project establishing a great sports tradition. At SKODA we believe in work and leisure balance and sport activities accessible to everyone. And cycling is exactly that. From kids to adults and across all regions, cycling is not only a sport or means of transportation but also a lifestyle. We are here to support this lifestyle and provide background

for the riders and fun for the whole family.”

For anyone else wanting to join the exciting event there’s still time to get involved with the second Build-Up Ride on Friday, 11 October which will cover 65km at Al Qudra Cycling Track.
