The Dubai Mall Introduces The ART+ Series, A Platform For Exceptional Forms Of Art

The Dubai Mall announces ART+ Series, an aspirational platform dedicated to showcasing exceptional forms of art, museum-worthy exhibits or one-of-a-kind heritage collections from leading brands. The initiative aims to deliver a continuous programme of outstanding exhibits throughout the year, creating renewed and elevated experiences for guests. Through a continuous showcase of culture, heritage or innovation from The Dubai Mall’s leading brands, the ART+ Series further reinforces The Dubai Mall’s status as a hub for the arts.

Currently on display until mid-January, United Nude, known for revolutionising the very fundamentals of shoe design, delivers a truly unique ART+ exhibit with its Collaboration Shoes exhibit in Fashion Avenue. The collection features iconic shoes made in collaboration with famous forward-thinking artists including the late architect Zaha Hadid, fashion icons Issey Miyake and Iris Van Herpen and United Nude founder and creative director Rem D Koolhaas. Of note, guests can admire Lady Gaga’s Fame Shoes, made on request by the star for her FAME campaign and bearing golden figurines embracing the 12-inch platform boots.

The next ART+ Series event showcases the striking Santos de Cartier installation from 20th-26th January accessible from the waterfront promenade. In a tribute to the historic collaboration between pioneering pilot Alberto Santos-Dumont and Louis Cartier in the early 1900s, the Santos de Cartier exhibit invites guests to explore the worlds of aviation and fine watches through a multi-sensory experience as the Maison relaunches this legendary timepiece collection. At its centrepiece lies a Santos aircraft suspended in a glass cube, allowing guests to hear the roaring of the engine and a feel the subtle sensation of flying.
