With its continual celebration of different cultures from around the world, The Pointe, Nakheel’s iconic waterfront destination on Palm Jumeirah, will honour Day of German Unity, also known as German National Day, with a stunning fountain display every hour from 8 pm to 11pmonSunday, 3 October.

Commemorating the German reunification in 1990, Day of German Unity symbolises the growth of the past 31 years of a united Germany, the realisation of the European idea and establishing a foundation that honours human rights, freedom and democracy.

The Palm Fountainwill sway to ‘Wind of Change’ by popular German rock band Scorpions. The song will also be added to the fountain’s yearly programme.

Holger Mahnicke, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany, said:“We are excited to be partnering with Nakheel and The Pointe to share this special day with German expats living in Dubai, as well as educate and raise awareness on the importance of this celebration with non-German visitors. We have worked on a unique show at The Palm Fountain that will inspire and entertain all visitors and we look forward to hosting them.”

Transportation and parking

Visitors are encouraged to use taxis or free shuttle buses from Nakheel Mall to The Pointe, available every 20 minutes from 5pm until midnight on 3 October. Limited parking at The Pointe is also available.
