• Mobile industry is as huge as number of people on the planet.
• The iPhone alone has an estimated 350,000 apps.
• A distant third is Google’s Android Market, BlackBerry’s App World, HP’s Palm App Catalog, and Microsoft’s Apps Marketplace. – Combined!
• In 2010, apps on various devices pulled in $1.7 billion globally, meaning the market will blossom exponentially in the coming years.
• Once more smartphones from Google, Microsoft, and RIM roll out, and more tablets from Motorola and Samsung, app sales and volume will only increase.

  You can hum a tune into the phone and it’ll find the song, look up lyrics and run YouTube videos of song performances.

  Shop for eco-friendly products online.
• Evernote (Free)
  A traveling notepad that synchronizes with desktop and browser software.
• Star Walk (US$ 3)
  Point your phone toward the heavens and this app identifies all you see,  constellations, planets, individual stars!
• Glympse (Free)
  Friends can track your location.
