VOX Cinemas, in partnership with Emirati Comedy Club, will host an Open Mic Night on 23 August (9:00-11:00 p.m.) at VOX Cinemas City Centre Mirdif. Tickets for the Open Mic Night are now available at voxcinemas.com and the VOX Cinemas app for AED 10.

Following a hugely successful Casting Night which saw 450+ registrations and 70+ Arabic-speaking performers show off their comedy chops, the top 14 comedians, including four Emiratis, received mentorship from Bin Swelah (IG @binswelah1) and Ahmed Saif (IG @ahmed.4g) and will perform their skits in front of a live audience.

The experience is part of VOX Cinemas and the Emirati Comedy Club’s newly-launched three-part comedy series for aspiring comedians and comedy fans. The series features two community-focused events to identify and nurture the next generation of Arab comedians, including a successful Casting Night which took place from 11-12 August and an Open Mic Night happening this Friday, 23 August. The series will culminate in a Comedy Night where stars from the Emirati Comedy Club will perform a live show.
