wasl properties, a subsidiary of wasl Asset Management Group, has announced the grand-prize winner of its annual Ramadan Competition. 11-year-old Najib Mahfuz was deemed the winner receiving the grand-prize scholarship tuition of AED 25,000. The competition, which took place throughout the holy month of Ramadan, aimed to celebrate children’s creativity, highlight their innovation, and reward their artistic talents.

Four weekly winners were also selected by the wasl committee in recognition of their paintings, and won iPads.

wasl’s Ramadan Competition is in its eleventh annual edition. Participation in this competition was open to children under the age of 13 and was open for wasl tenants only who were asked to upload their paintings to be judged by the wasl committee. Adults, on the other hand, had the chance to participate in the Instagram Ramadan Photography Competition, and were asked to upload their artworks on Instagram.

The competition was launched by wasl properties for the first time in 2011, with its scope and popularity among the public expanding over the years.
