Zurich International Life Limited (Zurich) has announced the launch of asocial media competition where Manchester City fans will have the chance to win a host of their favourite football club’s merchandise including jerseys and soccer balls, as well as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to train with the Manchester City Football Education team in Dubai or Abu Dhabi for fans aged 3 – 16 years.

To enter for a chance to win, participants must reveal their unique pre-game rituals, and follow and tag @zurichmiddleeast on social media.

Zurich recently revealed its official regional partnership with Manchester City, which is built on Zurich’s commitment to nurturing talent and fostering a sense of community by bringing people together through sports.

Walter Jopp, CEO of Zurich in the Middle East, said, “Almost every individual has their own set of rituals they perform before stepping in for something big, be it a huge presentation, attending an exam or performing in front of a crowd; and football fans are no different. From wearing a lucky outfit or sitting in a certain position to watching the match at a certain location, these rituals are performed to bring them and their team good luck.”

“We have launched this contest to extend our support to young sports enthusiasts and to inspire confidence in them to be the best version of themselves. At Zurich, we are optimistic that we can help the youth reach their full potential and be ready for all challenges in life.”

Cityzens – as Manchester City fans fondly call themselves – across the region can enter the contest by following the below simple steps:

  1. Share their pre-game rituals via a photo or short video and tag @zurichmiddleeast
  2. Like and follow the Zurich Middle East Facebook and Instagram pages

The contest will run until 15 March 2021 with four winners selected during the contest period – two winners will be announced every fortnight.
