World Government Summit: Al Awar Discusses Labour Market Relations With Ministers, Senior Officials
His Excellency Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, UAE Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, held a series of bilateral meetings with ministers of labour and employment, as well as senior officials, to discuss labour market topics of mutual interest, as part of the agenda for the World Government Summit 2024, held in Dubai from 12 to 14 February.
Al Awar met with His Excellency Sharat Singh Bhandari, Minister of Labour, Employment, and Social Security of Nepal, and His Excellency Daniel Maurate Romero, Minister of Labour and Employment Promotion in Peru; Her Excellency Martina Strong, US Ambassador to the UAE, and Aparna Bawa, Chief Operating Officer at Zoom.
The discussions focused on ways to enhance bilateral relations across all aspects of the labour market, as well as takeaways from the Future of Work Forum, which was organised by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation as part of the World Government Summit 2024.
The Forum discussed prospects for developing labour markets, adapting to rapid global developments and enhancing preparedness and resilience in labour markets. The event also explored strategies to enhance bilateral and regional cooperation and strengthen partnerships aimed at developing labour market policies.
The bilateral meetings also addressed ways to empower technological solutions for developing labour market mechanisms.
