School Of Life Enhances Communication Skills And Encourages Reading
Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) is offering enriching informational sessions and workshops for all community members through its ‘School of Life’ project. This initiative aims to develop competencies, hone the skills of community members and Dubai Public Library members, encourage reading, and explore the impact of neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and game development techniques, among other topics.
‘Effective Communication through NLP’, presented by trainer Valsakumar P Menon in Al Mankhool Public Library, will discover the powerful impact of languages on personal development and train in techniques that contribute to enhancing communication and achieving growth. Al Safa Art & Design Library will host the ‘Pages of Possibility: Surprise Book Swap’, encouraging patrons to exchange and share books with others.
As part of the ‘Library Talks’ initiative, Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children will host author Sara Abdullah to discuss her story ‘The Pencil Who Found Himself,’ published by the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC). The story sheds light on values, the importance of boosting self-confidence and confronting bullying in all its forms.
