“Alice In Wonderland” Raises AED 75,000 For Cancer Research
“Alice in Wonderland” a beautiful rendition by the Ballet Centre’s students on stage this Friday the 20th of January raised 75,000 Dirhams for Cancer Research and was donated generously by Mangalika Jayalath – The MD of the Ballet Centre to Al Jalila Foundation.
Mangalika Jayalath – The Managing Director of the Ballet Centre, says “This was a very intense show, the students had been training for 18 weeks and we had a mission to raise awareness and funds about Cancer research, which we successfully managed, thanks to the hardwork of the Ballet Centres team & students. The two shows, were packed on Friday and when I saw some of the audiences teary eyed, I knew we had done our job!”
Alice in wonderland was the Ballet Centre’s biennial production that displayed the talent of amazing young dancers in a world class Ballet production. This event marked the 3rd successful production by the Ballet Centre since 2014 and this year the proceeds were donated to Breast Friends, Al Jalila Foundation for cancer research.
