Dubai staple Indian restaurant, Shamiana has announced the addition of an all-new traditional street food range to its traditional Tandoori menu. Some of India’s best loved street eats make an appearance, all lovingly made daily in each of Shamiana’s 16 locations across the UAE.

With its origins in the region of Delhi, Chaat is the staple food available across India. Originally sold from stalls or food carts roadside, Chaat has quickly crossed over to become a popular part of restaurants’ menus across the globe.

Using secret family recipes handed down through the generations, all of the dishes on the Shamiana Chaat menu stay true to its roots by including the popular spices that complement the other ingredients as well as the Indian flavor palate.

The new menu includes Aloo Tikki Chana Chaat, made by combining mashed potatoes, fresh green chilies and finely chopped coriander. The dish is then fried to perfection and topped up with spicy and tangy chickpeas and flavourful chutneys. Kathi Roll is a one-of-a-kind dish which is wrapped in a freshly made roti along with cubes of chicken or paneer tossed in delicately spiced brown sauce. Other tasty dishes include Paani Puri, Sev Puri, Dahi Batata Puri, Paapdi Chaat, Raj Kachori, Bhel, Dahi Wada, Crispy Kheema Tikki, Pav Bhaji, and the Punjabi staple Chole Bhature, which is a combination of Chana Masala served with a side of golden fried bread.

Shamiana falls under the Hot Brands ‘mall staff loyalty program’ that sees mall staff receive their sixth meal free when they dine in any Hot Brands outlet within the mall.  These include Shamiana, Santino’s, Sugoi, Magic Wok and SalaThai.

Dishes on the all new menu range from AED3 to AED20. Click here for a link to the full menu.
